"In a small tribute to the profound contributions which Dr. Bernard Rimland, the autism community’s godfather of ‘autism research and advocacy’, has made, TalkAutism presents this spontaneous presentation Dr. Rimland volunteered to TalkAutism in 2003. Dr. Rimland passed away in November, 2006. The entire autism community owes Dr. Rimland so much for what he has done to help advance understanding and treatment options for individuals with disabling aspects of autism."
Dr. Rimland gives a historical perspective of his role in autism research and then concludes by highlighting Autism Research Institute's (ARI)philosophy for treating children with autism.
